Canva Create 2025: What’s new, what’s useful, and what it means for our clients

At Huck, we like to keep our finger on the pulse and not just for the sake of it, but because the tools we use shape the work we do. Canva’s latest updates, launched at their 2025 Create event, show just how quickly the lines between design, data, and content creation are blurring. And we’re into it.

Here’s a quick rundown of what stood out and why we think it matters for the wider marketing world.

Visual Suite 2.0

Canva’s no longer just a tool for making creatives, it’s shaping up to be a serious contender in the all-in-one creative productivity space. Presentations, docs, whiteboards, websites that are all synced & all collaborative. The future of campaign workflows might just live here.

Canva Sheets

Spreadsheets have had a glow-up. Sheets are now fully design-friendly and powered by AI, with tools like Magic Insights and Formulas turning raw data into meaningful content. For marketing teams needing to visualise, report or pitch on the fly, this could shift how we work.

Magic Studio, now with more magic

From rapid content creation with Bulk Create to instant translations and automatic resizing, Canva’s AI tools are pushing into genuinely helpful territory. Less gimmick, more doing. There’s potential here for campaign rollouts, localisation, and scaling creative without sacrificing quality.

Magic Charts

Live data integrations (think Google Analytics, HubSpot) and AI-generated visual suggestions make this one to watch. Chart creation has always been a time-sink and this is one of those under-the-radar updates that could change the pace of visually displaying marketing reporting and insights.

Canva Code

A wildcard feature, but a bold one. Canva’s experimenting with natural language prompts to build interactive elements like forms and widgets, all without a dev. It’s early, but we’re intrigued by the potential for rapid prototyping, landing pages and pop-up experiences.

AI-powered photo editing

Background swaps, lighting-aware edits, more nuanced retouching are all native to Canva now. For leaner teams or fast-turnaround content, this could reduce the need to jump between platforms. It’s not replacing high-end editing tools just yet, but it’s closing the gap.

Design School 2.0

A refresh of Canva’s learning platform. Think more structured learning, certifications, and real-time tutorials. A clear sign that they’re investing in upskilling their user base, which only strengthens its role as an everyday tool in the marketing toolkit.

Where it leaves us

We’re not saying Canva is the answer to everything. But we are saying that if you care about speed, clarity and collaboration, it’s worth keeping on your radar.

At Huck, we stay curious about the tools shaping the future of creative work — not just for the sake of it, but because they help us deliver sharper, smarter campaigns for the hotels we work with. From brand storytelling to campaign rollouts, platforms like Canva are making it easier to create standout visuals without slowing down.

If you’re in hospitality and looking for a marketing team that keeps pace with what’s next, we’d love to talk.
